FUNDRAISING FOR THE VICTIMS OF FLOOD AND LANDSLIDE IN NEPAL

Dear all,
At least seven people died in floods and landslides in Helambu and Melamchi regions of the Sindhupalchok district, just a few kilometers east of Kathmandu, on Tuesday and Wednesday on June 16, 2021.

Three bridges in Helambu and one in Melamchi have been swept away by the floods. Many roads have been destroyed, leaving many parts of the district disconnected. Efforts are underway to mobilize helicopters to rescue people stranded due to floods and landslides. However, 1800 people lost their houses. Over 50 people are missing.

To address this catastrophic situation, NRNA Canada has declared NRS 5,00,000.00 to snd to Nepal immediately to respond to the emergency situation.
NRNA Canada would humbly request all individuals, organizations, Institutions, Business Houses, or any donor to show your generosity one more time and stand with the People of Sindhupalchok.

सिन्धुपाल्चोक जिल्लाको मेलम्ची नगरपालिका र हेलम्बु गाउपालिकामा असार २ गते आएको भिशण बाढि र पहिरोले करिब ७ जनाको ज्यान गैसकेको छ, ५० भन्दा बढी मानिसहरु बेपत्ता भएका छन र १८०० भन्दा बढि मानिसहरु घरबार बिहिन भएका छन । यस्तो अकल्पनिय बिपति का कारण भएको जन-धनको क्षतिमा एन आर एन क्यानडा गहिरो दुख ब्यक्त गर्दै आपतकालिन ब्यबस्थापन मा तत्काल सहयोगका लागी गैर-आबासिय नेपालि संघ क्यानडा (NRNA Canada) को तर्फबाट रु ५ लाख सहयोग गर्ने प्रतिबद्दता व्यक्त गर्दछौ। साथै क्यानडामा रहनुभएका सङ सस्थाहरु लगायत सिङ्गो नेपाली समुदायलाई सहयोग का लागि हार्दिक अपिल गरिन्छ। यो अभियानमा पनि खुलेर सहयोग गर्न हार्दिक अपिल गर्दछौ।
